Foo Fighters have started sharing teasers of new music, presumably from their upcoming tenth album.

The new clips have been shared after the bands logo has been seen around with the letter X next to it.

The first new 30 seconds clip, posted to twitter on November 4th, depicts a red eye with guitarist Pat Smear, with an isolated bass drum and handclap track. The tweets caption read ‘#LPX’. This was later followed up by a second 30 second snippet featuring drummer Taylor Hawkins, with a similar track but now with added snare drum. Check out both clips here:

The band is scheduled to appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend on November 7th, where fans believe the band might perform a new single from their upcoming tenth album.

Foo Fighters last release was back in 2017 with ‘Concrete And Gold’, and Dave Grohl confirmed in February that the band had finished recordings it’s follow-up, on The Bill Simmons Podcast. He said “We just finished making a record. Some of those songs, the best ones happen in 45 minutes. Then there’s other songs — there’s a riff on the new record I’ve been working on for 25 years.”

Dave Grohl also previously likened the new album to David Bowie’s 1983 ‘Let’s Dance’ LP, saying “It’s filled with anthemic, huge, sing-along rock songs, It’s kind of like a dance record, but not an EDM, disco, modern dance record. It’s got groove. To me, it’s our David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’ record. That’s what we wanted to make, we wanted to make this really up, fun record.”

The frontman also stated that the Foo’s’ tenth album was “unlike anything we’ve ever done.” Adding “There are choruses on this record that 50-fucking-thousand people are gonna sing, and it’s gonna bring everyone’s fucking hearts together in that moment, And that’s what it’s all about.”
