Blossoms are supporting Manchester nightclub 42’s, by raffling off a number of ultra-rare band related items.
Among items up for grabs are frontman Tom Ogden’s original handwritten lyrics for 2018’s ‘I Can’t Stand It’, and the full outfit worn by the singer for the music video to 2016’s ‘Honey Sweet’, and more.
In a video posted to twitter, announcing the fundraising efforts, Tom Ogden joined with drummer Joe Donovan described the club as “the best club in town for us.”

The band will also be donating a sealed misspelt test pressing of ‘Cool Like You’ labelled as ‘Coll Like You’, and a signed Stockport County/Blossoms football kit mashup created by Bands F.C.
42’s are looking to raise £60,000, to help them avoid closing down. The raffle for the blossoms items costs £15, and the money will go towards the clubs crowdfunder.
The Crowdfunder reads “In a bid to stave off possible closure, we tried opening as a pub. After a few weeks, numbers increased and we reached a break even point. No sooner had we done that, than the 10pm curfew was announced.”
“Once again our hopes were dashed. Our income plummeted and we started running up debts just to stay open.”
“Then, it got even worse, and we were forced to close once more. We are now presented with the prospect of a slow, lingering death.”
Earlier in the week Blossoms announced that, they will be playing a special virtual show at o2 Academy Brixton hosted by MelodyVR. It will be the bands first return to the venue since their 2018 sold out night on the ‘Cool Like You’ UK tour.
