Frank Turner has announced plans for a post lockdown show in London.
The singer-songwriter is set to perform at London’s Troubadour on December 3rd, in support of the Music Venue Trust’s Red List Campaign.
The show, which will be sponsored by Fightback Larger, will be streamed live and will stay up on demand for 24hrs afterwards. Tickets for the stream will cost £7.95 and are available here (affiliate link).
The show will also see a socially distanced audience of just 30 people, with tickets being released when local restrictions are confirmed.
“I’ve played many of the venues on the Music Venue Trust Red List and can’t stand by while they’re under threat, It’s hard to imagine the risk to underground music and culture if we lose the stages where artists find their voice, develop and grow.” Frank said.
Adding “I hope performing at The Troubadour on day one of live audiences returning to gigs can capture some of the power of seeing a grassroots music venue performance and highlight what’s in danger of being lost.”
The Music Venue Trust’s Red List, will see proceeds of the show distributed across the 30 venues that are still under threat of closure.
