Fontaines D.C have shared a cover of ‘I’m A Man You Don’t Meet Every Day’, a traditional song made famous by fellow Irish group The Pogues.
The performance of the song was recorded for US radio station SirusXM. Where The Pogues’ Cover was guitar-led, Fontaines D.C added in a piano and layered vocal harmonies. Check out the cover here:
The famous Pogues cover was released on their 1985 album ‘Rum Sodomy & the Lash’, but the track has been covered by a number of other artists over the years.
Fontaines D.C. recently released their second album ‘A Hero’s Death’ back in July. The band also recently did a special MelodyVR virtual gig at Brixton Academy.
