Grey Daze – which was Chester Bennington’s pre-Linkin Park band – have announced a new five song stripped back EP. The new EP follows the release of their album ‘Amends’ back in June, which featured Chester’s re-mastered vocals.
The new five track stripped back EP is called ‘Amends Stripped’ and will feature raw, minimalist versions of some of their tracks.
The tracklisting for the new EP looks like this:
01. Shouting Out (Stripped)
02. Sometimes (Stripped)
03. Soul Song (Stripped)
04. What’s In The Eye (Stripped)
05. The Syndrome (Stripped)
Talking about the purpose of the release, drummer Sean Dowdell explained “One of the more interesting things about working with such a great singer like Chester, is the more you take away from his surroundings, the more you get to appreciate and hear all of the subtle nuances of his voice. ”
Adding “He was a very special vocalist with an amazing writing ability, and it was very meaningful for us to use these different vocal performances on the acoustic version of ‘Shouting Out.”
The new stripped back EP is due out on January 29 via Loma Vista Recordings.
