Pop-punkers AS IT IS have parted ways with their drummer Patrick Foley, who is set to pursue a new career as a firefighter.
The band made the announcement to social media in the form of a video call, where the drummer reveals that firefighting is the one thing that he’s always wanted to do apart from playing the drums.
The new clip also came alongside a comment that read “Our brother and friend Patrick Foley has decided to step back from As It Is, to pursue a brand new career as a firefighter. We could not be more proud of him (and are keeping him on speed dial for when we next use pyro in a live show) All love, Patty, Ali, Ronnie x”

The drummer has been with the band since the very start and has played on all three of their albums ‘Never Happy, Ever After’, ‘Okay’, and ‘The Great Depression’.
The news shocked fans, and prompted some to wonder if the band would continue to make new music, but the band reassured fans saying “Trust us – when we release new music in 2021, we’re going to need Foley’s skills because our new tracks are 🔥😉”
