The Sisters Of Mercy have announced three exclusive shows at The Roundhouse, to celebrate this their 40th year anniversary.
The three roundhouse shows will be taking place on September 11th, 12th, and 13th at Londons historic Roundhouse. The three dates are set to slot into place into the band’s european tour, which was postponed and rescheduled to December.
You can get your tickets for the show from here (affiliate link).
A statement provided with the news says “It howls, it’s grindingly beautiful, and it’s probably heading your way.”
Going on to say “New and hence unreleased songs make up half of any Sistersâ set these days, although the classics get a good thrashing in rotation. Having derived their light show from the Big Bang (gleefully inventing rave lighting in the process), the Sisters see no reason to tone it down, and will be exploding in all their usual glory at the next suitable opportunity.”
The band last played in the UK just before the lockdowns began, with them completeing a short run of four shows days before the country had to lock down. The band havenât released a new studio album since 1990âs ‘Vision Thing’, despite promising that they would do so if Donald Trump was elected as President of the United States back in 2016.
