Evanescence’s long-awaited fifth studio album ‘The Bitter Truth’ is currently sitting at No 3 in the midweeks chart.

The album was also the most downloaded album of the week so far. So it’s looking like it’s on course to debut near the top of the UK charts.

The Amy Lee fronted band’s last album – which was their self titled – peaked at No 4 in the UK charts. Previously to that the band’s debut album peaked at No 1 back in 2003, and it’s follow-up ‘The Open Door’ came in at No 2 in 2006. Check out our review of ‘The Bitter Truth’ here.

Ahead of the band in the midweek charts is Ben Howard’s fourth studio album, and Dua Lipa’s ‘Future Nostalgia’ which is currently eyeing up it’s 33rd week in the Top 10.

Elsewhere in the midweek charts, Iron Maiden and The Winery Dogs members, Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen unite for their new album Smith/Kotzen, a blues rock album seeing the duo come in to the midweek charts at No 5.
