Bodom After Midnight Release First Track From ‘Paint The Sky With Blood’ EP

Bodom After Midnight have released the first track from their upcoming EP, ‘Paint The Sky With Blood’, which will feature late singer Alexi Laiho’s last recorded vocals.

The three track EP was announced shortly after the tragic passing of the vocalist, who died at the age of 41 at his home in Helsinki, Finland.

In a statement, the band said “Like ourselves, Alexi was beyond stoked about these songs and anxious to get these out so we are happy that we can fulfil his wish.”

“Needless to say that we are honoured and proud to be a part of his very last creative work and unleash it the way he wanted it to. It’s time to let the beast out of the cage one more time as a celebration of Alexi’s music, legacy and the man himself.”

The new EP, ‘Paint The Sky With Blood’, was recorded by the band last year in Finland, and features three tracks.

The new EP is set to release on April 23rd via Napalm Records.

“We are crushed by the sudden passing of our dear friend and band member,” says Alexi’s bandmates Daniel Freyberg, Mitja Toivonen, and Waltteri Väyrynen said last month. “Words cannot describe this shock and the profound sadness that we feel.”
