London-based rock quintet Dorja have released their new single ‘Dust’.
Dorja instantly made noise within the rock scene, when they formed back in 2016. Comprising of professional musicians from different walks of life, Dorja’s mix of cultures, genders and musical experiences adds to their unique sound.
Following the release of the band’s debut album ‘Gemini’, the band are now gearing up to release their new EP ‘Persephone’ later this month. The release of ‘Persephone’ marks an exciting new chapter for Dorja, who recently welcomed bassist Oliver Lee and guitarist Alex Scheuerer into the fold. The addition of two new members has developed Dorja’s signature sound, adding a modern twist without losing the passion and raucous energy they already possessed.
The new five tracks were written and recorded during the darkest year Dorja have experienced thus far – and it comes through in the music. With lyrics exploring subjects including apocalypse and death, the band’s new music is much darker than their 2019 album Gemini.
While ‘Persephone’ still echoes the hard rock roots of their previous material, the new EP offers a twist of fresh production and a deeper complex of songwriting, guaranteed to thrill both old and new fans alike.
