The Kunts Line The Amazon Music Charts In Lead Up To Christmas

The Kunts latest bid for Christmas number one, ‘Fuck The Tories’, is currently lining the Amazon Music singles chart with it’s various remixed version. The song also features in The Official Chart’s midweek update chart.

The band – who recently finished up their short UK tour – launched the new song on Friday, with the track giving an explict filled and scathing tear down of The Conservative party, and the recent and current mismangement by the UK government.

As well as the main track, the band have also released a multitude of remixed versions each “as worthy of your 59p as the original Single Mix” the band say. This has lead to The Amazon Music singles chart being overrun with the various versions of the song.

The song is also seeing similar succuss over on the iTunes Top Songs list. As well as appearing at No 19 in The Official Chart’s midweek update chart.

The cut-off point for streams and purchases to count towards this year’s UK Christmas singles Chart is at 11:59pm on Thursday (December 22). The No 1 song will be announced on BBC Radio 1 from 2pm on Christmas day. Previous number one songs have included The Beatles – I Want To Hold Your Hand (1963), Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody (1975, 1991), Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall (1979), Rage Against The Machine – Killing In The Name (2009).

The fresh bid for Christmas number one follows the band’s previous attempts over the past two years, which saw their double onslaughts of ex-prime minister Boris Johnson reach the number 5 spot in the Christmas charts, with their song’s ‘Boris Johnson Is A Fucking Cunt’ and ‘Boris Johnson Is STILL A Fucking Cunt’ reaching the milestone in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
