With one of the biggest weekends for the alternative community approaching fast, news has come in that the 2023 edition of the festival is set to soon be 100% SOLD OUT. With Slam Dunk South at Hatfeild Park already being sold out, only a limited number of tickets remain for the North edition of the festival, taking place at Leeds Temple Newsam.
This years festival will be headlined by the mighty Enter Shikari – Who will be returning off the back of their new album ‘A Kiss For The Whole World’, Check out our review here! – alongside Californian punk icons The Offspring who’ll be making their Slam Dunk debut. Elsewhere, the festival will see stages headlined by an abundance of alternative talent in Yellowcard, Creeper, Malevolence, The Hunna, and The Maine.

Warming up The Dickies Stage for the highly-anticipated headline performance from The Offspring, will be a jam packed line-up and your one-stop-shop for all things punk and ska. Compered by punk afficionado and Life In The Stocks Podcast host, Matt Stocks, the stage will see the UK return of Bowling For Soup following their small run of shows last year, as well Less Than Jake’s first appearence since 2019. Trailblazing American punk groups Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, and Teenage Bottlerocket will all be making their debut Slam Dunk performances alongside returning heroes Millencolin and Zebrahead. And get down to the festival early to catch newcomers Mille Manders & The Shutup!
Over on The Rock Scene Stage (Presented by Amazon Music), the genre diverse Enter Shikari will be joined Canadian punk giants Billy Talent, American alt-pop-rock group PVRIS, and post-hardcore outfit Underoath. Nurturing UK talent, the stage will welcome some familiar names with the likes of Wargasm, Holding Absence, Trash Boat, Vukovi, and Zand. But that’s not all, as Kids In Glass Houses celebrate the 15th anniversary of ‘Smart Casual’ (with Slam Dunk being the only place to catch this reunion live).
Split across two stages (Left and Right), The Kerrang! Stage will host an eclectic whos-who of iconic names. Building up to headliners Yellowcard and Creeper, this stage will see the return of Slam Dunk Festival favourites such as Four Year Strong, The Menzingers, Boston Manor, Fireworks and Trophy Eyes. Bleeding heart legends Hawthorne Heights make their debut appearance alongside Spanish Love Songs, Destroy Boys, Movements and Sincere Engineer. This will also be the place to catch the official reunion of emo The Academy Is!
The Key Club Stage’s will be returning once again with the alternating stages seeing The Hunna and The Maine top the bill. This will be the place to be if you want to see some of the most exciting and fast-rising names in the scene, including JDXN, Sueco, Maggie Lindemann, Noahfinnce, Scene Queen, Charlotte Sands and girlfriends. The emerging alternative bill will be completed by Emarosa, Youth Fountain, Grayscale and The Tyne.
Saving the heaviest stage for last, Slam Dunk’s brand-new partnership with KNOTFEST will see South Yorkshire metallers Malevolence tearing down the stage at the end of the day. This is set to be the hottest stage of the festival and will be the place to come to have your face melted off. The stage will also lay host to a set from DJ Fresh in the evening. The international friendly line up will American titans We Came As Romans, Escape The Fate, Fit For A King, Dragged Under, and See You Space Cowboy joined alongside French metalcore talent Landmvrks. But it won’t only host international names with some of the most promising names in the UK scene also on the bill with Static Dress, Higher Power, and Heriot all representing in full-force.
Phew! What a line-up! But that’s not all that’ll be happening…
Amazon Music UK is set to host the official signing tent at the festival. Names for the 2023 sigining tent will be revealed at a later date, but the Amazon Music UK signing tent has previously been visited by festival-performing artists such as All Time Low, Simple Plan, Hot Milk, and more in previous years. Queues are likely, so it is recommended those interested get down early to secure their spot.
Not only will KNOTFEST be hosting the heaviest stage this yeat, they’ll also be hosting exclusive Q&A sessions with artists from the KNOTFEST stage bill. These 20 minute Q&A sessions will take place in a public-facing tent near the Knotfest stage itself, and will feature phenomenal artists taking a deep-dive into their latest work and career highlights.
The festival programme will also be refreshed this year, featuring exclusive on-site Q&A’s, acoustic performances, unmissable signing tent opportunities, and one-off activities, courtesy of Slam Dunk Festival partners.
