Samurai Pizza Cats – Meet The Band That Are Putting The Cat Into Catcore!

Catcore from Castrop may be a subgenre in the metal sphere you are not quite aware of as of yet however the fun-loving yet hard-hitting Samurai Pizza Cats plan on changing that at their earliest convenience! The band formed in 2021 with Electric Callboy’s Daniel Haniß and former Fall of Gaia members Sebastian Fischer and Stefan Buchwald completing the trio – however they later extended their Pizza-loving family with Stefan Reufer joining the fray.

The band’s sound is a very unique blend of Metalcore, Deathcore and a plethora of electronic elements mixed into one sweet yet savoury sound that helps the band stand out in quite an oversaturated Metal scene. Opting for a more whimsical and upbeat style as opposed to the standard doom and gloom, Samurai Pizza Cats are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Their Latest single ‘Pizza Homicide’, which was released back in March, has been a massive hit with fans of the band as the song has already garnered over 1.2 million streams on Spotify alone. The single even made it into Spotify’s ‘The Core’ featured playlist and Century Media’s Modern Metalcore playlist! The rambunctious single enlisting the support from Daniel’s Electric partner, Nico Sallach, has an even more wild music video to accompany it which you can view below!

The band had this to say about the comedic single.  “SAMURAI PIZZA CATS – the name says it all! Pizza Homicide is all about the oftenly discussed debate on if pineapple really belongs on a pizza, it’s a life or death choice.
