Heriot Celebrate The Launch Of The Jackson American Series Virtuoso In Camden

Last night, Heriot celebrated the launch of the Jackson American Series Virtuoso with an exclusive intimate set at the Dr Martens Boot Room in Camden. The new guitar series comes nearly one year after the launch of the American Series Soloist SL3 and sees Jackson making the next steps towards their investment into American-made guitars.

No support band was needed to greet the people entering the Dr Martens Boot Room, as Heriot would be enough to both warm up and boot the roof off. Drenched in Red, Heriot took to the small stage – armed with their Jacksons in hand. The band got the whole room head banging as they laid into their 45 minute set, an energy that wouldn’t stop until the last note had played. Heriot’s ability to leave a lasting impression on the audience no matter where they play is definitely something to be admired.

Following the show, we sat down with Debbie Gough, when asked how the show was for her she said “Yeah, really cool to be able to play in a venue like this that is not conventionally a venue. It was really nice to be able to celebrate together. Yeah it’s been a really good night”

Offered in four colours (Satin Shell Pink, Satin Black, Specific Ocean, and Mystic Blue), the new Virtuoso ensures ergonomic comfort during long sets thanks to its alder body featuring a contoured “hand-shake” heel.

At the heart of the Virtuoso is its unique HH pickup configuration, featuring top-of-the-line Seymour Duncan pickups. The bridge position boasts the fiery S.D. JB TB-4 humbucking pickup, renowned for its scorching hot-rodded attitude and a commanding low-end presence. Meanwhile, the neck position is equipped with the S.D. ‘59 SH-1N pickup, celebrated for its glassy treble tones and scooped mids, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of musical genres, and artists who ignore boundaries.

Alongside the launch show, Heriot’s Debbie Gough was joined by Marty Friedman (best known for his tenure in Megadeth), Misha Mansoor (Periphery), Clint Tustin (Erra), and Dave Davidson (Revocation) for a rare jam session where they highlighted the full force of the instrument’s sounds. The all-star lineup of artists in the short film demonstrates their unique individual playing styles, illustrating the sonic shape shifting and hyper-playability that can seamlessly switch depending on the needs of the guitarists.
