Live Review: Ariel Posen – Headway World Tour

A year since the pandemic really caught hold in the west and unfortunately, live shows have yet to return, meaning we’re stuck with livestreams. However it’s not all bad, as we’re able to watch Ariel Posen’s world tour stream, which sees him playing his recently released album ‘Headway’ in full for the first time live.

Wasting no time, the stream gets right into the music starting with the first track of the album ‘Heart By Heart’. Ariel is joined by Jon Smith on the drums, Austin Parachoniak on the guitar, Julian Bradford on the bass, Courtney Devon and Sol James providing backing vocals. Ariel showed off his talented skills on the guitar right through the stream.

It was good to see Ariel trying to interact with the chat throughout the stream, despite the technical issues he was facing with it towards the beginning. It added that little bit of connection between him and the fans watching along, which feels missing in a lot of streams.

Throughout the performance, the camera angles were always great and high quality, and the stream was mixed well. Overall the stream was a good relaxing way to spend an evening and Ariel was great, I’d love to catch him live next time he’s in town.
