Live Review: As Everything Unfolds – Live From The Key Club

The Key Club has become an extremely well know venue over recent years due to its wild club nights and its continued support working with Slam Dunk Festival. I couldn’t think of a more fitting venue for As Everything Unfolds to put on a headline show after a meteoric rise over the last year. Accompanied by As Sirens Fall and Delair The Liar, the night promised to be one that fans wouldn’t soon forget. Here’s what went down!

Opening the night was As Sirens Fall. The main thing that caught my attention during this performance had to be their stage presence. They knew how to utilise every inch of the stage to interact with as many fans as possible which helps to make a lasting impression. As for the music, they really surprised me. An impactful performance that was full of passion and determination lead to them quickly winning over the crowd that had formed during their set. I’d highly recommend keeping these guys on your radar!

Delair The Liar were up next and boy did these guys put on a show! From the very first note, the band had the crowd in the palm of their hands which meant they had the room bouncing in no time. An emotion-filled performance captured the minds of many in the room with a particularly impressive reaction coming during the performance of the track ‘Furnace’. As main support, you hope to have the crowd hyped up for the headliner and it’s safe to say that these guys had done more than enough to ensure that.

The moment had come for As Everything Unfolds to take to the stage and opening with ‘Take Me There’ set the tone for the rest of the night. Quickly transitioning to ‘Stranger In The Mirror’ before throwing it back to their ‘Closure’ EP with ’17:10′. Right out of the gate, the room was eager to sing each and every word back at the band. The personas on stage only elevated the performance as the levels of charisma on display from the band were quite breathtaking.

As the set went on, fans were treated to a couple more of their previous EP in the forms of ‘Divided’ and ‘Despondency’ as well as a plethora of tracks from ‘Within Each Lies The Other’. Particularly notable moments had to be the fans almost screaming the words of ‘Grayscale’ louder than the band as well as an electric performance of ‘On The Inside’ to send the crowd home happy.
