Selling out a show is one thing but selling out an entire European tour is something many bands dream of doing. Bad Omens Concrete Worldwide tour saw the European Leg sell out way in advance of the shows and even adding multiple dates in cities such as London didnât change that. This may be a turning point in the bands career and we just had to check out what all the hype was about. Hereâs what went down when Bad Omens took over The Dome, London!
Sometimes staying in one lane and building a tour of similar artists is the safe bet however this tour opened with Oxymorrons, a hip hop infused rock band who know how to lay down bars just as well as they bring the riffs! As soon as they hit the stage they were full of energy and grace and that captivated the fans in attendance very well. This set literally had everything from trouser tears to a beautiful visual where the stage lights where turned off and the room was illuminated by fans flashlights. Humble in nature and oozing with energy, Oxymorrons left the stage to a massive applause!
Ghost Kid would take to the stage next and within a matter of moments they made their motives clear! During the first tack of their set, the band encouraged the dome to get down for a âJump Upâ moment. Despite being so early in the night, the crowd complied and mayhem would ensue! An action packed set crossing all kinds of boundaries was an amazing way to rile up the London fans. From band members entering the mosh pit to an astonishing rendition of âHollywood Suicideâ, the entire set was a statement of the bands level of ability to win over crowds and then continue then use their energy and charisma to keep them engaged throughout!
The wait was finally over and Bad Omens stormed the stage of The Dome with an action packed opening sequence of âConcrete Jungleâ and âArtificial Suicideâ. The crowd instantly erupted and echoed each and every word of the track back to the band. âNowhere To Goâ brought out a more dedicated feeling to the night while âGlass Housesâ and âThe Greyâ saw a tonne of crowd participation throughout. You could see the emotion on both the band and the fans. This show had been a long time coming and it meant the world to everyone who finally made it to this point.
Despite the popularity of the bands most recent record, they kept the set diverse with both old and new material which appealed to fans of all eras of the band. âNever Knowâ brought out a much more personal feeling to the show while tracks such as âMercyâ and âWho Are Youâ have the moshers a little chance to regain their breath and build the anticipation once more. Explosive persona few of songs like âIDWT$â and âLike A Villanâ only added to the excitement as the main set closed out with the bands surprise hit âJust Pretendâ.
An encore may be a little overdone however when done right, it can be special and Bad Omens nailed it. âThe Death Of Peace And Mindâ served as the calm before the storm of âDethroneâ and âWhat Do You Want From Meâ which sent the London faithful home satisfied and pleased!
Bad Omens showed that they should be in venues much bigger than the ones on this European tour with this performance. The entire venue was jam packed and not a single person stood still throughout the set. Itâs truly incredible seeing the way the band are able to captivate their fans and control them in a positive way!
