Camden is the home of the odd and the unusual so what better fit for a headline set from India’s own Bloodywood? Bringing Lake Malice along for the ride this event promised to be one for the ages. Here’s what went down!

Taking to the stage first was the explosive Lake Malice and to say they came in with a bang is an understatement. Right from the get-go, they had the crowd in the palm of their hands, crowd surfers from the first song is something you don’t often see from a support but Lake Malice’s intense sound won over those in attendance. ‘Power Game’ really had the pit spinning, while ‘Bloodbath’ brought up the level of intensity tefold. The entire venue was well and truly warmed up by the Heavy Music Award nominees!

Bloodywood stormed the stage and the Camden masses erupted. Their unique blend of indian traditional music and metal is something that is quite unlike anything out there but boy does it go hard! ‘Gaddaar’ opened proceedings and the room was a warzone! Packed from wall to wall, the pit made space wherever it could. ‘BSDK.exe’ was up next and the chaos did not slow down one bit. The energy from both the band and the fans was quite unlike anything I’ve witnessed in a very long time. Everywhere you looked their was people moving and grooving whatever you was dead at the front or right at the back.

The set was jam-packed with some of the band’s most intense tracks like ‘Aaj’, ‘Dana Dan’, and ‘Jee Veerey’. Circle pits, windmilling and screaming filled the Ballroom. ‘Zanjeero Se’ brought a tonne of aggression to the set. Impactful vocals resonated with fans and refueled their energy levels for an insanely chaotic final few tracks.

‘Machi Bhassad (Expect A Riot)’ lived up to its namesake as the entire floor became a pit while ‘Ari Ari’ closed out the main portion of the set in a cloud of madness and dominance. The band only needed one track for an encore and that was ‘Gasser’ but the alternative version. Like at the beginning of the set, the entire room was greeted with pandemonium. Crowd surfers a plenty, moshers leaving it all on the line and voices being stretched to their limits is exactly how you want a show to sign off.

Bloodywood is unlike anything in the scene right now and their live shows are one of the craziest spectacles in metal. With Lake Malice also dominating the room this show was something that will be remembered for a long time to come!
