Following the triumphant release of their latest album, *Sanguivore*, Creeper embarked on the ’12 Days of Night’ tour, hitting cities they haven’t visited in a while. On this leg, we caught up with them at the Project House in Leeds, and the night was nothing short of spectacular.
Opening the show, Naut stormed the stage with charisma and energy that instantly resonated with the crowd. Their rock ānā roll flair fit perfectly with the Creeper fandom, getting everyone moving from the first note. High-octane and passionate, Naut set the perfect tone for the evening, warming up the audience for what was to come.
Next up was Zetra, who brought a more somber and mysterious vibe to the venue. Their music, haunting and atmospheric, filled the night air with an enchanting quality. On stage, their sudden, chaotic movements gave an impression of being possessed, adding to their dark and gothic allure. The crowd responded enthusiastically, embracing the deep, brooding energy that Zetra exuded.
Finally, it was time for the main event. Creeper took the stage, captivating the audience with their theatrical performance and a well-crafted mix of new tracks from *Sanguivore* and beloved classics. Clad in their striking new vampire-inspired outfits, they opened with ‘Cry to Heaven,’ immediately setting the tone for a night filled with drama and intensity. ‘Poison Pens’ and ‘Lovers Led Astray’ followed, each song delivered with fervor and precision, demonstrating the band’s dynamic range and emotional depth.
As the night progressed, Creeper continued to enthrall with ‘Hiding with Boys’ and ‘Cyanide,’ their energy never waning. The crowd was entranced, especially during ‘Napalm Girls’ and the poignant ‘The Ballad of Spook and Mercy.’ ‘Teenage Sacrifice’ and ‘Ghosts Over Calvary’ brought a gothic edge to the set, while ‘Crickets’ and ‘Down Below’ showcased the band’s ability to blend dark themes with catchy melodies.
The performance reached a high point with ‘Chapel Gates’ and ‘The Honeymoon Suite,’ before diving into the fan-favorite ‘Annabelle.’ The emotional climax came with ‘I Choose to Live,’ a powerful ballad that left the audience breathless.
As the band left the stage, chants for an encore filled the room. Creeper returned to deliver two more songs, starting with the epic ‘Further Than Forever,’ and closing the night with the beloved ‘Misery.’ Each song was performed with fervor and precision, making it a night to remember for all who attended. Creeper’s Leeds stop on the ’12 Days of Night’ tour was a brilliant showcase of their theatrical prowess and musical talent, leaving fans eagerly anticipating their next return.
