London based alternative rock band, Ghost Arcadia, have been making a lot of noise since their 2019 debut. With the release of their latest single ‘Ransom’, it was high time for the band to showcase their talents with a momentous hometown show. Taking to the stage at O2 Academy2 Islington, they were set to deliver an unforgettable night of music, supported by the equally talented bands Everpale and Fail State.

Hailing all the way from South Wales, Fail State would be the first to grace the stage, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The emo-punk quartet delivered an energetic performance, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the night.

As the anticipation built up for Everpale’s hometown appearance, the atmosphere inside the already packed-out O2 Academy2 Islington was already buzzing with excitement. Going into the set with their latest single ‘BK2LYF’ the band wasted no time in captivating everyone’s attention

Stepping off the stage and onto the barriers throughout the set, frontman Connor really engaged with the crowd – breaking down the barrier between performer and audience, and making it feel like it was more than just a show, but more of a shared experience that united everyone who was in that room. The trio even took a moment to make everyone sing Happy Birthday to Ghost Arcadia drummer Ali. Ending with ‘The Static’, which would cap off the emo ladened set perfectly.

But the night was not over yet, and the crowd would keep the energy set out by Everpale, when Ghost Arcadia took to the stage. From heavy, head-banging moments that created exhilarating mosh pits, to softer, more introspective moments that allowed the audience to catch their breath, Ghost Arcadia navigated the emotional spectrum with finesse while exploring both their back-catalogue and covers.

The crowd remained energised throughout the entire performance, matching the band’s high energy note for note. From start to finish, the band’s stage presence and passion never waned, keeping the atmosphere charged with excitement. As the final note rang out, the audience erupted with cheers, unwilling to let the magic of the night end just yet.

Overall, this night of live music was an unforgettable experience. Fail State, Everpale, and Ghost Arcadia each left their indelible mark, delivering a powerhouse of a show that left the crowd wanting more. If you ever have the chance to catch any of these bands live, don’t hesitate.
