AFI Release Two New Singles

California based rock band AFI have released their first songs since 2018. Twisted Tongues and Escape From Los Angeles are the first two songs to be released from the band’s upcoming studio album. AFI has been teasing fans on social media about new music and now the wait is over. Unfortunately, there is still no word on when the new album is set to be released.

The upcoming album will be the band’s 11th studio album following AFI ( The Blood Album ) released back in 2017. The band took to Twitter to announce the new album on January 1st. In regards to the album, the band stated ” With the end of a year that has been, at best, challenging for all, we have news that we hope may bring you some joy. Very soon, new songs shall be yours. Before the year’s end, our 11th album will follow. We could not be more happy with our latest work and hope you will feel the same. Thank you for joining us upon this next journey. We are thrilled to take it and honoured to have you at our side.”

Guitarist Jade Pudget had stated the band were working on a new record back in April in an interview with Kerrang! “I’m excited for people to hear it and see what the reaction is. It’s an eclectic record, and I’d much rather put something out there that’s a little bit left-of-centre rather than try to do something that’s expected.”

Along with the release of the new songs, the band has released a limited edition 7″ vinyl that’s available to order here.
