Before the shows took place, On Thursday, January 7th, Japan issued a state of emergency and all measures were called to prevent further outbreak of the coronavirus. Following all strict guidelines enforced by the country and by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, each performance from the band was carefully monitored to follow all preventative measures: each performance ended by 8:00pm, “Savior Masks” (face coverings) were distributed to all fans who came to the show and were to be worn on top of the mask each fan originally had on, etc.

Previously to the new 10-date run of shows, the band had headlined at the Nippon Budokan 7 years ago. At that time, Babymetal had broken the record for youngest female artist in history to headline at the prestigious Japanese venue.

The setlist for the final performance “DOOMSDAY – X” featured a total of 13 songs. The production fully utilized the unique layout of the 360-degree venue with the stage set in the center of the venue, allowing fans to enjoy the performance from any seat.
