The dust may have only just been kicked off the ground at Catton Park, but the Bloodstock team show no signs of stopping as they announce the first few acts for 2024. Next year’s festivities are set to take place on the 8th-11th August 2024 at the fabled Catton Park, Derbyshire.
Headlining the Ronnie James Dio main stage on Sunday will be melodic death metalers Amon Amarth (UK Exclusive Show). The main stage will also see Arcitects (UK Exclusive Show) headline the main stage on Saturday night.
Talking about the announcement, Amon Amarth’s Johann Hegg proclaimd “England! We are excited to be returning to the Bloodstock hallowed grounds to do battle with you and the Saxon hordes! We look forward to fighting and feasting with you! See you soon.”
The main stage will also see Clutch landing the special guest slot on Friday. While fast rising British hardcore squad Malevolence (UK Festival Exclusive) will step up from last years Sophie Lancaster Stage headline set to join the ranks on the main stage on Saturday.
Also appearing on the main stage across the weekend are Greek black metal crew Rotting Christ (UK Festival Exclusive), Celtic punk collective Flogging Molly, Canadian power metal outfit Unleash The Archers, Swedish rockers Night Flight Orchestra, Greek death metallers Septic Flesh (UK Festival Exclusive), and last but not least Albion psych doomsters Green Lung.
But that’s not all… Headlining the Friday night over on the Sophie Lancaster Stage will be France’s Igorrr (UK 2024 Exclusive). Finnish folk metallers Korpiklaani, Scottish black/speed metal project Hellripper, and Moldovan metal squad Infected Rain complete the announcement over on the Sophie Lancaster Stage.
This year’s festival has already seen set’s from Skynd, In Flames, Gatecreeper and many many more, and the weekend has barely started with a whole host of bands still set to grace the stages at Catton Park this weekend, including Meshuggah, Megadeth, Knocked Loose and more.
2024 will see the festival make some changes to their ticketing options. Early bird weekend camping tickets are available at the on-site box office across the rest of the duration of the 2023 event with no booking fee – as always, this will be your cheapest way to buy a 2024 ticket.
Thereafter standard early bird tickets will go on sale online at 9am Monday 14th August, priced at £165 (+ bkg fee) at the ticket store. Once the discounted Early Bird allocation has gone, standard weekend tickets will increase in price to £185 (+ bkg fee).
Serpents Lair VIP tickets and camper van passes (which always sell out very quickly) will go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 16th August. There will be no VIP Upgrades in 2024.
A very limited number of just 100 VIP Deposit Scheme tickets (with payment being split across 5 months) are also set to be available at 9am on 1st September. These tickets are also set to sell very quickly, so you’ll need to be ready to grab one.
Next year will also see the festival add a campervan pitch with electrical hook-up ticket, alongside their standard campervan pitch tickets. These tickets are also set to go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 16th August.
