Bombay Bicycle Club have announced a new live album called ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose – Live At Brixton’.

The live album was recorded back on the 8th November 2019 at a sold out Brixton Academy Show, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut album. The new live album will release on 11th December via Mmm… Records + Caroline International. The new album follows the band’s fifth studio album, ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’, which released earlier this year.

Talking about the release the band said “This time last year – in the good old days when live music was possible – we played a handful of shows around the UK to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our debut album, ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose.’”

“This tour finished on a Friday night at Brixton Academy in London, and we took the decision to record the show that evening.”

Adding “This was a particularly special night for us in any case – seriously a show that we’ll all remember forever – and especially considering what’s happened since, we’re grateful we have a memory like this to keep us all going until live music can resume.”

The new live album will be available digitally, on CD, on vinyl, and as a double LP (which will include the original studio album as well). The album can be pre-ordered here.

The 2009 ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’ was met with acclaim when it released and cemented the band as key players in the indie music scene. The album is now celebrated as some of the band’s most beloved work.
