The Killers’ frontman Brandon Flowers has said that it’s “not Looking great” for the band’s upcoming UK tour, during an Instagram Live session.
The tour is currently planned to kick off in Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium on May 25, and end in Dublin on June 16th.
During the Instagram Live session with drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr last week, Flowers spoke about the planned dates – which have already been rescheduled from 2020 – Saying “We hope May happens”, however adding “It’s not looking great.”
The frontman also revealed while live that he needs to go into surgery after a bike accident a few years ago, saying “I went over the handlebars on my bike and an injury from that has manifested itself”
“I have a torn labrum on that [right] shoulder so I am going under the knife in a couple of weeks to get that taken care of.”
After Flowers surgery, the frontman will need to be in a sling for six weeks.
Previously, the frontman teased new music during an Instagram live. Whilst late last year The Killers sparked speculation that a new album might be on the way from the band after sharing an ‘A List’ – which appears to be a potential tracklisting – to social media, leading many fans to believe the band could be releasing their seventh album soon.
The potential tracklist reads:
1. Pressure Machine
2. In Another Life
3. Sleepwalker
4. In The Car Outside
5. A Terrible Thing
6. Runaway Horses
7. West Hills
8. The Getting By
9. Cody (The Miracle)
10. In This Quiet Town
11. Desperate Things
Frontman, Brandon Flowers, told NME after the completion of ‘Imploding The Mirage’ “You know when people just say that? Every time someone makes a record they say that they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record. We really are”.
“We’re going to release another one in about 10 months. We’ve already gone back into the studio with [Jonathon, producer] Rado and Shawn [Everett, producer]. We did a week in Northern California.”
Adding “I had a lot of time on my hands. Before I’d normally be gearing up to tour, all of that time has gone back into writing more songs. It’s been pretty fruitful.”
