Download Festival 2023 just got a lot bigger, with the latest announcement of over 40 additional bands! The festival has also shared the day splits for all the bands (See Below)!

As announced in the first line up reveal, the festival will see Metallica returning for the first time since Download’s 10th anniversary a decade ago – this time the band are set to play two headline sets across the weekend with NO SONGS REPEATED! Also returning to headline the festival will be Slipknot. The festival is also set to see new headliner Bring Me The Horizon joining the ranks on the main stage.

Joining the festival on the Thursday alongside Metallica will be Alter Bridge, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Jinjer, Perturbator, A.A Williams, The Bronx, Caskets, Fearless Vampire Killers, Mammoth WVH, Mimi Barks, Mom Jeans, and finally Tigress.

And that’s not all! Joining on the rest of the weekend will be (In Alphabetical order) Antisaint, Avatar, Bad Wolves, Beauty School, Bob Vylan, Carcass, Carpenter Brut, Cleopatrick, Clutch, Coheed And Cambria, Deaf Havana, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Electric Callboy, Epica, Green Lung, Greg Puciato, Hatebreed, Hot Milk, Ice Nine Kills, Joey Valence & Brae, Neck Deep, Palaye Royale, Pup, Smash Into Pieces, Spirit Adrift, Taipei Houston, The Amity Affliction, The Hu, and lastly Undeath.

Finally Empire State Bastards, a new “grindcore extreme metal” band from Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro) and Mike Vennart are also set to make their Download Festival debut in 2023. The band have already been announced for both 2000 Trees and Arctangent as well.

Elsewhere, the Download Festival 2023 line-up includes previously announced acts such as Architects, Ghost, Evanescence, Nova Twins, Witch Fever, Kid Kapichi and a whole lot more!
