Get ready, metalheads! Bloodstock is back and this year promises to be more epic than ever. With an exciting lineup and a host of special tributes, including a re-creation of Lemmy’s dressing room, fans are in for an unforgettable experience. Pay homage to the legendary Motörhead frontman and immerse yourself in the ultimate metal celebration. Here’s what you can expect at this year’s festival, where the music is loud, the beer is cold, and the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll lives on.

A standout feature this year is the re-creation of Lemmy’s dressing room, offering fans a chance to pay respects at a specially-created bust containing Lemmy’s ashes and view a collection of his personal items. These include his iconic hat, boots, bass guitar, hand-drawn pictures, handwritten lyrics, dressing room paraphernalia, and never-seen-before personal photos.

The bust unveiling takes place on the main stage at 6:15 pm on Friday, following Hatebreed’s performance. This special Lemmy Forever ceremony will feature festival management and the band’s Phil Campbell. After the ceremony, the bust will be placed in Lemmy’s dressing room, adjacent to the Rock & Metal Gallery, which is next to the signing tent. The gallery will temporarily close for the ceremony but will reopen shortly afterward, including Lemmy’s dressing room.

While waiting on Friday, fans can view additional Motörhead memorabilia as part of the gallery exhibits. The iconic Motörhead bomber will be prominently displayed in the main arena near the Midgard campsite entrance. Listen for the unmistakable Motörhead siren, signaling the opening and closing of Bloodstock this year.

Other gallery exhibitors include Mark Wilkinson, with six images on display, including an exclusive Judas Priest piece, and Paul Cutting, showcasing stunning bespoke guitars, including one inspired by Amon Amarth. The gallery will also feature memorabilia from Krusher and two 8-meter walls of rock photography by Paul Harries and the late Ashley Maile, with prints available for purchase. Art from Travis Smith, including legendary album covers from Megadeth and Opeth, will also be on display.

Fans can look forward to Amon Amarth’s headline set on Sunday, aiming to set a record for the biggest Viking row ever during their performance of “Put Your Back Into The Oar.” By Odin, get practicing!

For those needing a break from the music, Bloodstock offers fairground rides like the dodgems and the waltzer. Remember to have a friend hold your pint during the ride! Speaking of pints, Bloodstock has maintained beer prices at £6 a pint (excluding stronger beers/ciders). Options include dedicated bars by Timothy Taylor, Oakham Brewery, Guinness, Red Bull, Captain Morgan rum, and the rock ‘n’ roll Jack Daniels truck. The Serpents Lair will feature Amon Amarth beer, and a special bar will offer Malevolence beer by Northern Monk. Red wine enthusiasts can enjoy Iron Maiden’s Darkest Red Wine by the glass!

Non-alcoholic options include Holy Faith from Northern Monk (0.5%), Bitburger Zero, Guinness Zero, and Mango Cider Zero. There are 18 bars on-site, including a real cider bar and the 4-pinter bar. Free drinking water is available at designated points in the campsites and main arena, so bring a refillable bottle to stay hydrated. For food options, including vegan and gluten-free, click here.

For forgotten essentials, a supermarket is available in the Midgard campsite, along with a small shop in the main arena and Fat Frank’s Camping Store, where air bed inflation services are offered.

Bloodstock is proud to support this year’s charity partners: the Sophie Lancaster Foundation and Derbyshire Blood Bikes. The T-shirt/CD Amnesty is back, allowing attendees to donate good condition shirts or discs at the Information/Rock Society tent. These will be sold at the Planet Rock Signing Tent to raise money for the charities.

Stay tuned to Bloodstock’s social media for updates on who will appear in the Planet Rock Signing Tent. Rumors suggest a fun photo cut-out board and temporary tattoos by Grand Magus on Friday. Permanent tattoos can be obtained from Old Sarum Tattoo on site.

Stage times will be available on the official Bloodstock app on Monday, August 5th. Bloodstock aims to ensure attendees have an amazing weekend while staying safe. If you need medical assistance, visit the Medical/Welfare Tent in the main arena. The Samaritans will also have a marquee in the Midgard campsite for confidential chats 24/7. Bloodstock supports #SaferSpaces and #AskForAngela.
