Excitement is building for BLOODSTOCK 2024, now just over three weeks away, with a host of thrilling updates and exclusive offers for festival-goers. For those still deciding on their festival attire, EMP is offering a 20% discount on orders over £30 with the code BOA20 until August 4th. In an exciting announcement, BLOODSTOCK revealed that BLACK | LAKES have won Planet Rock Radio’s competition to open the Sophie Lancaster stage on Sunday morning. Festival attendees are encouraged to support this Welsh metal band, whose performance promises to be a highlight of the day.

The fiercely contested Metal 2 The Masses finals have also concluded, with winners from 28 regions earning their spots on the Hopical Storm New Blood stage. Notable acts include SMOTHER from Stoke and ABSOLENCE from Burnley on Friday, STONE SOUP from Oxford, CONVEY from Cheltenham, and CHUB from Brighton on Saturday, and ROOT ZERO from South Wales, DEAD FLESH from Hitchin, SPACE PISTOL from Northants, ATOM SMASHER from Devon & Cornwall, FROGLORD from Bristol, and CRUCIBLE from Coventry on Sunday.

When the main acts finish, the fun continues late into the night. On Thursday and Saturday, the Hopical Storm New Blood stage will host BLOODSTOCK’s biggest silent disco from 11pm to 2am, featuring three live channels with different music genres. On Friday, DJs Darren Smith and Dawn Debenham will provide a full-volume night of extreme metal. Over at the Sophie tent, late-night entertainment includes DJ Pressplay on Thursday, The Blood Rave with DJs Little M and Lloyd on Friday, and a DJ set from SEETHING AKIRA on Saturday. Sunday’s closing party will be helmed by DJ Rich Harris.

For those preferring campsite fun, Midgard offers late-night inflatable games and Official Bin Jousting from 11pm to 2am, Thursday to Sunday. Early arrivals on Wednesday can enjoy DJs, inflatables, and movie screenings from 2pm.

VIP ticket holders can enjoy daily family movie screenings and metal comedy films in the Serpents Lair, along with exclusive bands, DJ sets, Pop Up Puppet Cinema, face painting, pub quizzes, and an extensive selection of ales and ciders.

To kickstart the mornings, RockFit classes will be held at 10:15am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This fun, high-energy workout is set to a rock and metal soundtrack and is suitable for all fitness levels. For a more intense experience, attendees can join the special War Master Class with UFC and combat sports legend Josh Barnett on Sunday at 4:30pm. While participation spots are limited and filled quickly, all are welcome to watch this thrilling session.
