Italian Death metallers Fleshgod Apocalypse have released a cover of the classic Blue (Da Ba Dee) originally by Eiffle 65. Many people will remember this late 90’s Hit from their childhood. A surprise release from Fleshgod but a welcome one.

Interestingly the band have named their take on the 90’s hit Blue (Turns to red). This release comes just 2 weeks after their single titled No was released. A unique way to start the new year by the Nuclear Blast signed band.

On an Instagram post frontman, Francesco Paoli stated that they “Wanted to release something that could make the end of this shitty 2020 a bit funnier for everyone”.

Interestingly he goes on to say “we’re ready to blast your ears again in 2021, stay tuned!” So we can expect some new material from the symphonic metal band over the next year. Fans of the band will be eager for some new music after the success of their most recent album Veleno which released back in 2019.

Along with the album, Fleshgod toured North America with Swedish metal legends Hypocrisy accompanied with a string quartet. This tour was met with outstanding support from the band’s loyal fan base, selling out every night of the tour.

The band were hoping to continue this form into Europe however the Covid-19 pandemic saw an immediate stop to their plans of touring. However, this didn’t stop the band from delivering to fans. Constant streams on YouTube offering Q&A’s for fans as well as a live-streamed concert from Bloom Studio back in August has seen Fleshgo continue to grow in popularity.

Fleshgod Apocalypse is set for an extensive tour around Europe later this year. They are due to land in the UK for a one-off show at The Underworld on the 3rd October.
