Gojira Announce New Album ‘Fortitude’ And Share New Single ‘Born For One Thing’

Following Gojira sharing a website with a bunch of cryptic symbols, the band have now officially announced their new highly-anticipated seventh album ‘Fortitude’ along with sharing the opening track.

The band’s new album – the follow-up to the band’s 2016 GRAMMY-nominated ‘Magma’ – is set to be released on April 30th via Roadrunner Records.

Talking about the new track, ‘Born For One Thing’, vocalist/guitarist Joe Duplantier said “We have to practice detaching ourselves from everything, beginning with actual things. Own less possessions, and give what you don’t need away, because one day we’ll have to let everything go, and if we don’t, we’ll just become ghosts stuck between dimensions.”

The new album ‘Fortitude’ will be made up of 11 songs, which have been recorded and produced by Joe at Silver Cord Studio, and mixed by Andy Wallace (Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana). Check out the new single ‘Born For One Thing’ below:
