Holding Absence have revealed that bassist James Joseph has parted ways with the band.
James has been playing in the band since their inception, and has played on all the band’s releases, including the band’s recent single ‘Afterlife’, from the band’s upcoming album βThe Greatest Mistake Of My Life’.
Taking to social media, James revealed that he wants to put more of a focus on his other project James And The Cold Gun. Full statement below:
“Dear Holding Absence Family, I started this band five years ago and it has been a huge part of my life, I’ve travelled all over the UK and Europe, made amazing memories, played shows with some of my favourite bands and made friends for life.”
“However, after spending the past 12 months self-reflecting and writing songs with my housemate I have decided it is time for me to step down from Holding Absence to focus on the music we’ve been working on with
James And The Cold Gun. I wish the guys well for the future and I hope you enjoy the album we made together.”
“I love every single person in the Holding Absence community and I want to thank you all for your love, support and kindness. I can’t wait to see you all again some day. James Joseph”
