Jimmy Eat World have announced a brand new three date concert series, taking place next month.
The band will be performing ‘Surviving’, ‘Futures’, and ‘Clarity’ in their entirety across three dates as a part of The Phoenix Sessions.
The band have made a beautiful little announcement video for the shows, where Jim Adkins explains a little bit about the purpose of the events:
“We are always looking for ways to challenge ourselves, to do things as music fans that we think would be cool for OUR fans,” Jim Adkins said “We came up with the idea of presenting a series of concert films centred around a few specific albums (for now) and performing them on a different level.”
Adding “It isn’t the way we normally play a show and it’s definitely something new for how we approach a performance, but we haven’t been able to share the experience with our fans in over a year… so here we go!”
All three dates will be streamed globally at 2pm PST/5pm EST/10pm GMT/11pm CET. Here are the dates:
JANUARY 15 – ‘Surviving’
JANUARY 29 – ‘Futures’
FEBRUARY 12 – ‘Clarity’
Tickets can be purchased for one or all three of the shows from here.
Earlier in the year the band were announced to be headlining 2000 trees festival next year.
Can’t wait till next month? Here’s ‘All The Way (Stay)’ from the band’s latest album ‘Surviving’:
