Liam Gallagher has released a new music video for his recent single ‘All You’re Dreaming Of’ – Check it out below!
The ex-oasis frontman released the track at the end of last month, and has since performed it on The Jonathan Ross Show, and on his MelodyVR livestream ‘Down By The River’ (Which you can check out our review of here).
The video gives off lots of Christmassy vibes, with snowy scenes of Gallagher walking through a forest, as well as him singing in front of an open fireplace. The final shot of the video focuses on a message etched into a windowpane that reads “This is not here”. The final shot is a reference to the visuals for ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon, which contains the same phrase. The video was also released on the 40th anniversary of the Beatles stars death.
The new song emerged back in the summer of this year, when Liam put an unexpected spin on an idea created by his co-writer, Simon Aldred. The new song has been by Andrew Wyatt, who has collaborated on both of Liam’s chart-topping solo albums.
Talking about the new song Simon Aldred said “During the first lockdown when everything was looking uncertain and people were struggling to remain optimistic, Liam and I spoke about how there weren’t enough songs of hope. We set out to write a song that imagined a parent singing to their child about the importance of holding onto dreams and innocence, the capacity to disappear inside yourself and imagine a better future. A lullaby of hope.”
“It was never meant to a Christmas song. But then Liam said, ‘I can see New York shop windows, and snow outside, this reminds me of being a kid at Christmas when life was normal.’ And so we reimagined it with that in mind.”
Proceeds from this new singles streams and downloads will go to Action For Children until 31st December 2020. Action for Children provides practical and emotional support to children and young people, as well as ensuring their voices are heard, and campaigning for every child to have a safe and happy childhood.
The single is also available on 7″ and 12″ vinyl via the official Liam Gallagher store. The white 12″ will also include a demo version of the single on the b-side, whilst the two 7″ vinyl will have the songs artwork and a lyric etched into the b-side. The 7″ will be available on either black or red vinyl. The Vinyl is set to come out on December 18th.
