Download Festival have announced the first set of bands for the upcoming 20th anniversary celebrations next year. For the first time in the festivals history, the event will feature four days of music with some massive acts set to grace the Donington stages in 2023.

The festival will see Metallica returning for the first time since Download’s 10th anniversary a decade ago, this time around the band will be set to play two headline sets across the weekend with NO SONGS REPEATED! Also returning – following their recent album release of ‘The End, So Far’ – to headline the festival will be Slipknot.

The festival is also set to see a new headliner join the ranks on the main stage, with British Rockers Bring Me The Horizon also announced to headline the event.

But the announcement doesn’t stop there with the like of Alexisonfire, Architects, The Distillers, Disturbed, Evanescence, Ghost, I Prevail, Parkway Drive, Pendulum, Placebo, Simple Plan, Ville Valo, and Within Temptation.
