With under fifty days to go until the first Takedown festival in eight years, the festival have announced a new one-off show in London showcasing three of the bands on this years line-up.

Hitting the Boston Music Room in London on the 7th April (Good Friday), the ‘Road To Takedown’ showcase will see performances from Confessions of a Traitor, Seething Akira, and Crushed By Waves.

The show will be headlined by London metalcore band Confessions of a Traitor, sharing their “aggressive music for positive people” ready to rile-up audiences and “provide an escape for people, even if just for a moment”. The follows the release of their new album ‘Punishing Myself Before God Does’ which released last year, and illustrates the band’s power to evoke emotion and energy through their blend of melodic elements with crushing grooves.

The night will also welcome Portsmouth six-piece Seething Akira bringing their electronic nu-core that seeks to escape the relentless monotony of dysfunctional normality. The band hailing from Takedown’s new hometown, deliver anger, despair, defiance, and unapologetic heart-felt honesty that can be seen on their latest album ‘Nozomi’.

Last but not least the London crowd will be treated to the offerings from North West natives Crushed By Waves, who are set to offer their cathartic blend of melodic verses, power-house breakdowns and anthemic choruses. Since releasing their debut single ‘Ceiling’ in late 2020, the band have taken the UK rock scene by storm.
