The Killers Release Deluxe Edition Of ‘Imploding The Mirage’

The Killers released a new deluxe edition of their 2020 Chart-topping album ‘Imploding The Mirage’, featuring one previously unreleased track and two new versions of the singles.

The new track ‘C’est La Vie’ comes from the sessions for their last album, and has more of a lilt and carefree bounce to the albums cosmic Americana sound. The new deluxe edition also comes with added stripped back version of the singles ‘Blowback’ and ‘Caution’, with one performed acoustically and the other in a ‘Wasatch Style’, respectively.

The new deluxe edition comes as Killers fans await the band’s seventh album from the band. Towards the end of last year, the band shared a potential track list for an upcoming album.

Frontman, Brandon Flowers, told NME after the completion of ‘Imploding The Mirage’ “You know when people just say that? Every time someone makes a record they say that they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record. We really are”.

“We’re going to release another one in about 10 months. We’ve already gone back into the studio with [Jonathon, producer] Rado and Shawn [Everett, producer]. We did a week in Northern California.”

Adding “I had a lot of time on my hands. Before I’d normally be gearing up to tour, all of that time has gone back into writing more songs. It’s been pretty fruitful.”
