The Picturebooks have shared a new single ‘Catch Me If You Can’ with Chris Robertson from Black Stone Cherry.
The new single comes from their upcoming album ‘The Major Minor Collective’, which will be released on September 3rd. The album is set to feature collaborations on a whopping 10 out of the 12 songs.
“Ever since touring with Black Stone Cherry, we became huge fans, especially of Chris Robertson´s voice and guitar wizardry.” The Picturebooks comment. “When we finished writing this song we knew this one was for him. We sent the song over and Chris came back with the most amazing vocals and guitar solo! There was an instant connection and understanding of where this song needed to go, a dream collaboration!”
Chris Robertson adds “Who the hell could have known that in the middle of a pandemic The Picturebooks would reach out and ask if I’d want to be a part of a song!? What transpired was a therapeutic session of rock n roll, blues and a whole lotta truth! The only way to listen to this is with the volume way up!!”

“The Picturebooks & The Major Minor Collective“ was born out of the insane idea of bringing together various artists who have either inspired the two or who they are just friends with. The idea was to have some kind of creative exchange in these crazy times, a bridge to fellow artists if you like. It also opened the musical range of the band in many ways and leads to the most varied musical work The Picturebooks have ever done in their career.
