Weezer’s highly anticipated and long waited new album ‘Van Weezer’, was finally released to the world last Friday, and it’s currently on course to get the band their first UK top ten album.
‘Van Weezer’ currently sits at Number 10 in the Official Charts Midweek Albums Update Chart.
Previously the band’s highest-charting record was 2005’s ‘Make Believe’ which peaked at Number 11.
The band currently also have seven albums that have charted in the UK’s Top 40, includings 95’s ‘Blue Album’ which peaked at 23, 01’s ‘Green Album’ peaking at 31, 02’s ‘Maladroit’ coming in at 16, 08’s ‘Red Album’ at 21, 14’s ‘Everything Will Be Alright In the End’ at 37, and 16’s ‘White Album’ peaking at 24.

The new album will be the band’s fifteenth studio album, and was produced by Suzy Shinn (Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy).

In more Weezer are set to release a new version of ‘All My Favourite Songs’ from January suprise-release ‘Ok Human’. The new version will feature AJR and is set to drop on Wednesday (May 12).
