Weezer Release New Single ‘All My Favorite’ From Upcoming Album ‘Ok Human’

Weezer have dropped the first single, ‘All My Favorite’, from their upcoming suprise album ‘OK Human’ (which comes out next Friday).

If this single gives any indication of what the album will be like as a whole, it’s going to be very different to Weezer’s other upcoming album ‘Van Weezer’, which should see the band focusing on more rock’n’roll/metal focussed songs.

‘OK Human’ see’s the band working with a 38-piece orchestra, with frontman Rivers Cuomo taking inspiration from the likes of Beach Boys’ ‘Pet Sounds’. Contrary to that, talking about the upcoming Van Weezer album last year, Rivers Stated “The inspiration came from our live shows, where, in the middle of Beverly Hills, unlike on the album, everything stops and I just break out with this crazy guitar solo. We noticed that, recently, the crowd just goes crazy when I do that. So it feels like maybe the audience is ready for some shredding again.”

Sound’s like there should be something for everyone to love, coming from Weezer this year. Check out the new single here:
