A group of live music events professionals are going to be cycling more than 1,500 km from Newcastle to London to raise money for the #WeMakeEvents Campaign.

The fundraiser, dubbed ‘The Survival Tour’ will be five professionals from event companies Loud Sound and Proper Productions who will cycle the route checking off 50 UK venues and festival sites, symbolic of what would have been the winter touring season.

Donations to the cycle tour will be sent to Backup, which supports those who have worked in the entertainment technology industry who are affected by the current coronavirus pandemic.

The Cyclists will start their journey on the 3rd October, and will be cycling for 2 weeks, concluding their tour on the 18th October in London. The 1500km route will be split up into stages of 60-100km which will be completed over the course of a day, with the cyclists stopping off at each venue in a bid for media coverage.
