Wolf Alice have shared the second single from their upcoming album ‘Blue Weekend’. The new track premiered yesterday on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, and follows on from February’s ‘The Last Man On Earth’.
‘Smile’ also comes alongside an accompanying clip filmed by director Jordan Hemmingway. The track is described as being inspired by vocalist Ellie Rowsellâs desire to âfight back against those who try to define herâ.
“This is one of the songs we wrote thinking that we would play it live,” Ellie comments. “I miss that feeling of singing on stage. Itâs like screaming into a pillow or something â you can get away with being more nasty. Thereâs a whole other part of me missing.”
