You Me At Six have launched YOUMonday, a new health and wellbeing campaign aimed to help people on Blue Monday.
Blue Monday is said to be “the most depressing day of the year”, made worse this year with many countries going into lockdown. The band have launched YOUMonday, encouraging fans to take the time out for themselves, and start a discussion about metal health.
“2020 presented us with some of the most challenging circumstances ever, and 2021 is no place for a Blue Monday,” Frontman Josh Franceschi said “We hope that everyone can join us in taking a little time out for themselves today, to do something for YOU. Stay safe, stay positive and support each other.”
The band have planned a few activities for YOUMonday including making sourdough, cooking vegan spag bol, and more. Check out the full list below
We'll be dropping vids throughout the day. We'd love you guys to join us in taking the time to do the things that you love today and let us know with #YouMonday. Josh, Chris, Dan, Max & Matt x

Speaking with metal health charity Young Minds, guitarist Max Helyer said “I find it incredibly important to talk about my mental health with my family and close friends. One thing I get from it is a new perspective and a way of thinking that maybe I hadn’t thought of myself.”
Adding “Exercise has been something that has really helped me over the past year. I’ve gone through quite a lot emotionally and found this gives me such a great release of endorphins and sets me up positively for the day.”
The band recently released their seventh album ‘SUCKAPUNCH’, with tracks like ‘Adrenaline’:
